Interesting Lunch in San Luis Potosi

Let's just say, I went out at a time that we Canadians would think would be a good time to go out for lunch.  12:20pm

What we witnessed on the highway was something to be remembered.  The highway was closed in both directions by "La Policía Estatal" bye the federal jail.

This was the escorts...

And this is what they were escorting...

Notice the SMG on the bike and in the windows of the bus

And they were followed by more escorts...

There was a total of 20 police vehicles, trucks, cars and motocycles.  All fully armed and in full armour.

It was a pretty cool site, but still a reminder that I wasn't on a resort in Mexico.

The meal was fantastic. I've eaten at this place before and they have the best "Arrachera" in SLP.  Arrachera is thin sliced beef that has been tenderised, cook on a grill and served on a hot plate.

It's pretty good.

There were some nice things in SLP to take note of. I got a couple of nice pics of the mountains near the plant I was working at.

That's all for now

  1. When we went on a tour in Mexico we were escorted by guards with Machine guns...kind of scary but made me feel safer!
    Take care of yourself!

  2. These guys were escorting prisoners.

I've only seen one donkey so far and I didn't have the camera ready. I'm on the look out.
